Yes, Exam-On’s AI proctoring system is equipped to detect a wide range of cheating behaviors. It monitors facial expressions, browser activity, voice patterns, unauthorized programs, and device usage in real-time, flagging suspicious actions for instructors.
How does AI detect cheating on online exams?
Exam-On uses advanced AI algorithms, computer vision models, as well as audio analysis to continuously assess the student’s environment and actions during the exam. Any deviation from expected behavior is logged and included in the final proctoring report.
Can AI-proctored exams detect phones and external devices?
Yes. Exam-On detects the presence of unauthorized devices such as mobile phones and other electronics through real-time video and environment monitoring. Alerts are generated and students are blacklisted momentarily, if suspicious movements or audio signals are detected. These activities are also tracked and logged by the system
Does Exam-On software track eye movement?
Yes. Exam-On can track eye movement patterns to detect instances where candidates frequently look away from the screen, which may suggest access to unauthorized material or devices.
What happens if a student tries to exit full-screen mode during the exam?
If a student attempts to exit full-screen mode during the exam, the system will immediately display a warning notification in the candidate’s profile. At the same time, the AI engine will flag this as a potential violation and display it in the admin or proctor’s dashboard in real-time. The system will also attempt to force the browser back into full-screen mode to maintain exam integrity. All such violations are logged and included in the final proctoring report.
